A resume summary is the 2–4 lines under your name that tell a recruiter who you are, what you've achieved and what you're good at. Here's the formula and 20 examples you can adapt.
The formula
[Exact job title] with [X] years in [industry]. [Top result with a number]. Skilled in [3–5 keywords from the job ad]. [Certification or availability, optional].
UK and Irish CVs often call this a "personal profile"; Canadian resumes may use a "summary of qualifications" with bullets. The content is the same.

Two to four lines, or 40–80 words.
Should a resume summary be in first person?
Leave out "I" and "my". Start with your job title: "Accountant with 6 years in…".
Do I need a summary if I am a graduate?
It helps if it is specific: your degree, a relevant project or internship result, and the role you want.
